December 11th, 2010 | Author: No matter what you decide to do for New Year’s Eve, you’re gonna want an amazing outfit for the occasion. We went through Lulu’s lookbook that has been put together exactly for this event – and it’s all about sparkle.
For a party with your friends, where you want to look chic but be able to dance all night and stay comfy, you could try a pair of silver sequin shorts, paired with a V-neck glittery top, wedges and a pouch. Add some layered necklaces to glam it up even more. Or you could try a golden mini skirt, with a casual cropped pullover, studded wedge booties and golden jewelry – wear some bangles if you want to make some noise!
If, on the contrary, you are going to an office party, you should try a smart casual look. Go with a black dress with a sparkly upper part, but cover up with a blazer. Wear stilettos and classic jewelry. Or you could try a nude dress with a blazer – either way, remember that you are with your colleagues and your boss!
If you’re off to a special party with that special someone, wear a fabulous sequin dress, be it asymmetrical or with sleeves. Add heels, a clutch and oversized jewelry for a look like at Lulu’s. Neutral colors, like black and gray, are the best, because they go with anything and don’t look too busy in sparkly, holiday textures.
However, if you like colors, pick out something blue. For example, a pair of shorts with an ivory see-through blouse and fringed jacket go really well with a blue suede purse. Or you can chose a pair of electric blue shorts, à la Serena Van Der Woodsen, with a sparkly top, heels and a charm necklace.
